The best family cruise line – Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean is our recommended cruise line for families
Recently voted the World’s leading cruise line at the World Travel Awards in London. Royal Caribbean is also known as a pioneer in family cruise holidays with some of the most kid friendly cruises around.
We love Royal Caribbean and always recommend their cruises over any other cruise brands and here is why….
Royal Caribbean Kids clubs..
Royal Caribbean’s award winning Adventure Ocean kids and teen’s clubs are probably the best clubs you will find on a cruise ship. They have five different age groups so all activities, fun and games are designed with this in mind. There is a baby and toddler group so kids from 18 months are catered for, going up to the teen club for kids up to 17 years. There are lots of fun activities, crafts, science experiments, sports and parties and dedicated areas for each age range, where experience qualified staff supervise.
Royal Caribbean kids activities onboard..
RC’s shops are some of the biggest vessels on the seas today. These huge ships are packed with fun activities for kids.
You may have seen the adverts for the Flow Rider on TV, a surfing simulator, hugely popular with children of all ages, where your little ones can test out their surfing skills. They will love the boardwalk on Oasis & Allure of the Seas, with traditional fairground rides such as the Carousel or the dodgems. Older kids will love the skydiving simulator on Anthem of the Seas or the climbing wall. A lot of the ships have indoor ice rinks so you can all have a go at ice skating and many also have golf putting courses. All the ships have a sports court where kids meet up to play various games and make new friends.
Royal Caribbean’s unique Dreamworks experience means your kids can get up close to some of their favourite characters like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda and even have breakfast with them. There are Dreamworks themed activities, shows and parades and films are shown at the 3D cinema or in your cabins.
One of the best features for kids is the H20 zone, the mini water park that is a kid’s heaven, complete with waterfalls, fountains, slides and water cannons, which will keep your kids entertained for hours until you have to drag them out.
Royal Caribbean’s Family Accommodation..
RCs cabins are comfortable and stylish and many have sofa beds or bank beds so can accommodate families easily and at great value. There are also interconnecting cabins and larger suites such as the stunning sky loft suites, which are set over two floors and have a master bedroom plus a kid’s bedroom, living room and dining area. Cabins have TV’s where kids can relax and watch a movie if it all gets too much.
Royal Caribbean’s Family dining..
Even the fussiest kids are well catered for on a Royal Caribbean cruise. There is an amazing choice of eateries from intimate, fine dining speciality restaurants (get a babysitter and go without the kids) to lots of great family options such as the Wipe out cafe, New York pizzeria and various buffet restaurants with a huge choice of dishes. Kids will love the doughnut shop and ice cream parlour.
Family Cruise Prices….
Royal Caribbean offers a superior cruise experience, with fantastic ships, amazing food and great service and best of all, incredible value. Cruises are full board so all food is included and lots of the activities are free too, making a cruise holiday a great value option. You may be surprised at the price of a Royal Caribbean cruise compared to a similar beach hotel holiday of similar quality.
